Operate conventional equipment to process parts according to specifications in order to support production and maintenance requirements. Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspect finished product against specified requirements using visual inspection or precision measuring tools. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.

General Duties

Load & Unload parts into machines, collect data and make machine adjustments.

Read simple blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications.

Perform inspections at the start of each shift and report any sub-standard conditions or hazards found to supervisor.

Verify part for cleanliness, chip removal and conformance to specifications sometimes using precision measuring instruments such as; micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators or other specialized instruments.

Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of all conventional equipment as required.

Work in a professional and cooperative manner with co-workers and management.


High School Diplomia or GED

Manufacturing machine operation experience preferred.

Able to use all necessary measuring equipment.

Ability to learn measuring tools and inspection processes.

Read simple drawings and schematics.

Ability to learn new specifications and procedures through on-the-job training and experience.

Ability to work independently. When needed, be a part of a team which includes mechanics, technicians, fellow operators and management to co-ordinate efforts to ensure that machines are used efficiently and work priorities are well managed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
