Position Overview:
The primary functions of the job are to perform finishing operations on steel components and structures in a timely manner to keep planned production moving.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor.
Prepare parts and materials for finishing.
Load and unload parts and materials on conveyors and racks before and after processing.
Prepare completed parts for delivery to appropriate areas.
Inspect finished coatings to assure conformance to Asheville plant quality standards.
Maintain safe work environment for self and others.
Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
Basic
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Arden, NC will be considered
Position Criteria:
Must be able to lift 35 pounds waist, shoulder, overhead
Must be able to read tape measures
Must be able to read blue prints
Proven history of safe work habits and high dependability
Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision with a team
Must be able to work overtime weekdays and weekends
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in Fabrication
Computer skills Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
