Summary: The ideal candidate for this position will possess the skills and abilities to efficiently handle all Assembly operations at the Mills River plant.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS &
Responsibilities:
All duties and requirements are essential job functions
Assemble underground telephone pedestal units
Utilize work instructions to ensure good quality product
Install labels, service kits and switches into units
Adhere to all safety rules
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred; not required.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Must have good dexterity skills
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and written
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to pass forklift certification process
PHYSICAL/SENSORY/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS
Team member must be able to stand, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, and freely use hands and arms to feel, touch, reach and grasp parts
Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds
Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Must be able to use air hose drivers and rivet machines
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for several hours at a time. Repetitive arm movement is also required to perform this job. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment. Due to noise levels this job requires the employee to wear hearing protection in designated areas. This area is heated in cold weather conditions however, not air conditioned for hot weather. Therefore, the employee is subjected to heat conditions as it relates to outside temperatures. This job requires the employee to move in and around manufacturing lines.
