Level 4 - Maintenance Multi Skilled
Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent or technical training.
Licensed as an IMM (Millwright) or equivalent working experience.
Two to four years of skilled maintenance experience.
Fully capable of level 1, 2 and level 3 maintenance requirements.
Able to read and understand all codes and regulations (H&S;, Electrical).Interpret and review schematic drawings of mechanical, structural, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to understand their operation and identify malfunctions.
Ability to use specialized measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, angle finders, feeler gauges and dial indicators.
Ability to evaluate condition of parts and equipment. Evaluate performance of major systems and plant equipment. Assess feasibility of designs for small modifications to equipment and machinery, sometimes in collaboration with co-workers and supervisors.
Possess good communication skills to discuss work orders, equipment malfunctions and job task coordination with co-workers. Inform supervisors about work progress and seek guidance and approvals from them. Teach practices and procedures to co-workers, apprentices and clients.
Ability to perform tasks independently under limited supervision. Also form teams with co-workers when necessary to install and overhaul larger pieces of equipment and complete industrial systems. Supervise and train apprentices and maintenance labourers.
Knowledge of TS 16949 and related procedures. Knowledgeable in different controllers (i.e. Fanuc, Siemans).Use computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining, such as AutoCAD to make small adjustments to scale drawings to reflect modifications to tools and equipment components.
Maintain continuous learning by reading manuals and bulletins to stay up-to-date with new developments. Attend training workshops on new equipment and safety procedures as required.
Ability to develop and implement simple projects.
Ability to evaluate and select outside contractors.
Ability to perform supervisor tasks when required.
Responsibilities:
Perform regular machine maintenance as stated in the Preventative Maintenance Program.
Perform Predictive Maintenance.
Provide leadership in troubleshooting and repair; oversee junior mechanics.
Must work as a team player and maintain good employee relations.
Must work in compliance to TS 16949 Procedures/Systems.
Housekeeping and light maintenance of the quality assurance work areas.
