Description:
The DOT Compliance Specialist is a part of Independent Contractor Services at the Corporate Office and supports the team by performing tasks to ensure that records are compliant, audited and maintained for accuracy. Individual will review, track, and provide reports of compliance relative to contracts with Owner/Operators. In addition, the DOT Compliance Specialist will provide general project assistance.
Responsibilities include:
Review vehicle GVWR - determine regulated vehicles.
Manage DOT driver qualification files.
Track / Audit Hours of Service.
Track / Audit Vehicle maintenance.
Track / Review / Respond - Roadside Inspections, Citations.
Track / Review Hazmat Training/Certifications as applicable.
Process DOT Employment verifications.
Manage Random Drug Screen Program.
Track/Audit Agents MC Authority / Safety Rating.
Communicate with operations team on process requirements and unresolved issues.
Work with the team on new initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
HS / GED or equivalent experience required.
Associates degree or other vocational / technical school training beyond high school is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of DOT Safety and Compliance regulations.
Exceptional organizational and tracking skills.
CSA knowledge and understanding, Data Q experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
DOT Safety and Compliance Training / Certification.
Hazardous Materials Transportation Training / Certification.
Must work well alone or within a small group.
Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
